Replacement for PosGrabber

OK folks.. enough of this copying and pasting and questions about what the heck a dedicated server is, what the console window is, and all that. Now its nice and simple and you can edit in real-time (on an empty server) and simply press a key and the whole mission file is saved. Blah blah blah blah more gobbledigook and nonsense. Nuff said. The rest is in the readme.html file contained within the zip.

Filbert: I have no idea why its not letting you create boost pads or reload gates, perhaps you have re-assigned the keys and its not liking the two you chose for them?

Spunky: Hmm. again, will have to look into that. There are no bots on the server right?

Racer: Read the readme.html and follow the installation instructions.



And yes, if you have the old PosGrabber installed, just remove the code in main.cs which you added to run that script and replace it with the lines to load the ModWizard shown in the Readme.html

You dont have to delete the other PosGrab files, but you might as well.

I did not reasign the keys, I just followed the instructions. It can do all the letter thing and all the number comands except those two. O well. Maybe there is a limit to rteload gates, but what about the boost pad? I can do switching pads--just not fixxed.

Filbert: Try doing a CTRL Z to delete everything on the level and see if you can add them after that.

I've placed everything the way the read me said. I press "M" and it says "ModWizard Activated". When I press a key to start Modifying it tells me "server must be empty" . There are no bots or other people comming or going since there is a password. I made copies of the original ThinkTanks, tried it on the one I already modified, without any moding program, and the unmodified. They both say the same thing. I'm puzzeled. I have a Mac, is there anything I should do differently than on a PC ?

Rob: hmm very curious. Not entirely sure, but will look into it for you.

Where did you get register TT from? Here? Shockwave?

Rob: Ok.. Here is a slightly modified file. Just replace your existing ModWizardMain.cs.dso with the one in this zip (see the orignal readme.html for the file location)

Let me know if this solves it.

Nice work here btw! Giving people some proper tools to explore the terrain as it were and taking the time to interact with them in a pro manner is something this board really needed. Bravo

I bought the game from here. I just tried the modified file and it still says the same thing. I did take the old one out so there would be no confusion for the program. Thank you for trying to solve this. I'm probably just as busy as you. I have a 9 month old who needs all of my attention. The game is still fun with what mods i've done to it. Again, Thank you for your interaction on this.

Ok.. will still look into it.

In the mean time... I noticed a small bug whilst creating some levels. It doesn't currently saving the volcanos.

I have fixed the problem in this file. Use the existing readme.html to see where it goes. Just simply copy this new file over the old one.

Mine won't start up. When i press m in a map in doesn't tell me that it has started up. Does it tell you if it starts up or not? PLEASE HELP ME -Z- A.S.A.P.

Brant, make sure you inserted the extra code from the readme correctly in the right spot. That is responible for activation,

Well, My ModWizard still can't save volcanoes even with the new update, but I'm not complaning, if this is as bad as life got, it'd be wonderfull:)
