A Deep Question...

I would like to pose a question. Does age lend to insollence? Does a matter of days --years allow us to take behavior well that when seen in any other source is naught but ill reputed bullying, rudeness, and immaturity? I place this question in front of all the TT veterans who put there experience in front of them as a sheild or buffer, while striking aways at the truth, and innocence. When mistakes are made, should they be picked up and used as a weapon? A stone in the hand of a bully? Or should they be used to gently critisize and try to make better what was/is wrong. Should the old-timers be allowed to eradicate and hurt everyone in life just because thay can do so in a game? NO! Should they be given a position of honer in our eyes, when, in any real life situaton, they do nothing but to shatter that position? Should they be allowed to put curse words, porn, harsh critisizm, and rude taunts, on this forum, yet turn around and malign the actions of everyone else!? There are some people here that earn respect not just from game playing that goes above and beyond, but by an ability to be civilized in the face of all. I will not name names either way, but this is how it should be! The good players should also be a true influence upon the rest of the TT community. The sad part is, when corrupt power goes to far it can not be turned back, the minds of so many have been twisted and wrought into BOT-like AI. follow the program, follow the old-time players...! I know this will not be taken well by any. I will be laughed at and my reputation will fall yet some more, yet that the truth would be heard I will do ANYTHING!

GARAGEGAMES PLEASE GET A MODERATOR FOR THIS PLACE?
Would it be ok if that moderator filtered all of your stuff out?
Just remember that once we start getting filtered you will never
know what you missed. Who is to say that a moderator won't smply
impose his views? By being exposed to everything you get to make
the choice of what is relevant and what is not.

B. I can't believe this thread has gotten this far along
C. I can't believe someone is arguing for oral duct tape. I love this immature country. Its not immature children; it's immature culture. It's everyone blaming everything on everyone else. it's a culture of doormatitis and reciprocity- walk on me PLEASE so i can sue your ass.
D. The Boyz can rain down insult upon thee in such a fashion that the adult filter would never pick it up. Where do you draw the line between vulgarity and biology? insult and metaphor? insult
and allusion? no filter is going to pick up these things. You want to have your cake and eat it too?
Of course, by cake, I mean...
E. Nice pick up Max.
F. Now, if someone could direct me to fp's porn...,
TH, channeling Mary Antoinette, standing outside the fenced-in area, snackin on a muffin.

For those of u who dont know, i am a liberal, i am an aetheist, and i love thinktanks.
When i first got the game, i though " cool another shootemup game" but now, i do it for the fun and the excitement of meeting other ppl. However, my least favorite person on TT is Hippy Hater. His expression of "Fuck you Liberal", and the classic.. "Your going to hell u damn aetheist" are some of my personal favorites.... I love this game because of the DECENT and ACCEPTING people u meet.
another topic....
i agree with ben about the stab in the back statement, i have decided to start playing scrum more and i hate it when ppl nail u in the back before u drive through i health and then they say "too bad dumbass"
ne ways. congrats to fil for this awesome forum and please KEEP THIS GOIN

hehe.. "And now, here's our host Drew Care-"
@Tally:
A: Yes.
B: I enjoy bringing it back up to the top. It's a great way to subtly annoy the competition so they don't play as well. I wish this thread had been around last week... :)
C: I'm arguing for a little bit of self control, and being sensitive to who you are posting at, no duct tape. Once everyone gets that, then this thread can start taking the long trip to the bottom of the thread list.
D: True dat. Filters don't work. Insults are better as metaphors and allusions anyway. Much more interesting that way.
E: Always a ladies man aren't ya? ;)
F: Sure. Man that movie is going to suck.
@Hugo:
It is "ThinkTanks" after all.
CATO Inst, Rand Corp, AEI, Heartland Inst, Rockridge Inst, lots more.
"We believe that a small think tank can help American progressives develop a vision, a strategy, and a moral language that could galvanize social movement activism to transform both U.S. and global politics."
Apparently they favor the light tank...

Now, these freedoms hold no force at all on private property, and that includes privately-run forums like this one. The moderator can do as he or she pleases -- cries of foul at censorship in a private forum are pretty useless. You either play by the rules or you leave.
Freedom is not absolute. Absolute freedom with no responsibility is simply anarchy. Freedom which protects your rights but respects the rights of others (and sometimes that means you don't get to say or do something) is much preferred.
As for saying "just turn the channel" or "don't read the thread" that's a b.s. argument. We all know you have to read the thread to know if you are offended by it in the first place. However, like I said before and others have, there isn't much one can do about everyone else anyway. But Filbert and anyone has the right to post if they're offended, too -- and everyone could skip over that post if they wish...
All right,let's sing it together:
"This is the post that never ends,
It just goes on and on my friends..." :) Next?

As a U.S. Citizen who didn't sleep through his civics classes nor his poli sci courses in college, I'd just like to point out that the First Amendment provides for several freedoms: religion, speech and the press, and assembly. However, it is not the last word on the issue. There is some speech which is not protected: the old "yelling fire in a crowded theater when there is no fire" is an example, as is libel and slander, commercial speech such as advertising, and more. There are plenty of laws on the books concerning "fighting words," racist and sexist speech, and more, and they are Constitutional. The other "freedoms" also have their share of restrictions: for example, you have the right to assemble, but you better get a permit first. Now, these freedoms hold no force at all on private property, and that includes privately-run forums like this one.
