A new poll

by FilbertMM · in ThinkTanks · 11/06/2003 (2:50 pm) · 25 replies

I just need to know the answer to this poll question. Answer it with "yes please" or "no please': Should I drop out of the forums, because I am disliked and never talk to you guys again?? please be honest...

You can stay.

But you need to grow up. See the thead "petition to bravetree" for one reason, see thread "a new poll" for another, and see your 475 other posts and 43 other threads for some more reasons you just need to shut up and learn to speak when spoken to or when you have something really, really, worthwhile to say.

I know I have been guilty of offending these rules, but I'm certainly trying. You too maybe?

Ok, I am feeling better. I am trying hard and have stopped making so many threads. I still post a lot though.

Because this is a basic forum, your post count doesn't matter. You won't gain new levels.

Spunky, please tell me you are NOT gay. For the love of god please.

By the time GG deletes a post it is far in the distance already. What is the true point in deleting posts??!!

I think if you cut down a little (lot)on all of the garbage that you post, that you might be taken a little more seriously. Go back and read all of your posts and then be honest with yourself, would you like this guy that posts so much worthless stuff. You do have some good tips and ideas though, so just cut down on the worthless nonsense. Quit trying so hard to be accepted and maybe the people will accept you. Personally I don't like people that force there self on me, I tend to give them the cold shoulder. So quit trying to be liked and just let it happen. Stay creative and constructive, maybe even funny but QUIT POSTING SO MUCH JUNK!!!

Do you even play this game? Aside from you interrupting a league scrum match, I've never seen you on the battlefield (and I play alot). I do, however, see a great deal of assinine posts from you. Quit wasting all our time wading through your infantile posturings and start contributing to the community in a positive fashion. Trust me, your manipulation of others reading time does not go unnoticed. You would get alot more respect by how you play the game rather than what the game and its forums can do for you.

Since that date I've seen your tank twice - once inactive and much to the dismay of your teammates - and a crapload more of the same garbage posts. I thought your post to Stealth on the KOTS thread was particularly bothersome. How dare you berate someone who plays atronomically more and better than you about an idea that wasn't even yours?

Once again, you've called attention to yourself and received it. Try to pay heed to what others are telling you and follow their lead. And then maybe, just maybe, you'll acquire that respect you're so desperately seeking.

This is the last time I will address you about this.

Go on a Forum-diet:

How about limiting yourself to 3 posts a day for a start. Each day, look through the forums and really think hard about where you'd like to post BEFORE you post anything.

As for creating new threads, limit yourself to 1 thread per month.

Just think of all that time you'll save... you can use that time to play Think Tanks, clean your room, volunteer at a local hospital, or do something special for someone you love.

@Janles, I am digesting everyones ideas, except yours! I play think Tanks about 14 hours a week. That once I left my tank in CTF, I though I would be back on in one minute. Then someone else got on. When I finally realized, I jumped on as quickly as I could!!!!! I play noramlly in the early morning and eavning, and normally on CTF. Maybe that is why you dont see me. I am a hard player, and am trying to mind my posts.
@LC, ty for the idea, so manny thought...

What does having friends have to do about being gay? Gay people have friends too.

Nerd? OMG! I'm scarred for life. :)

You are free to stay or leave, it does not matters. You can't please everyone.

Remember the old saying about 'words are silver but silence is golden'.

The word 'laconic' comes from the Sparta land (province of Laconia).
When Lysander finally captured Athens (4th century B.C.), he dispatched a messenger back to Sparta to inform its ruling Council. The message was "Athens taken". The messenger brought back a message from the Council: " 'Taken' would have been enough."
