By posting them, though unlikely, you are liable for civil and possibly criminal prosecution.

Sluggy: I don't mind my cartoons being posted. They're copyrighted, but by me, and I posted them
(except the Xmas one :) ), so can't get much better permission than that. Obviously I like to be
informed if someone wishes to use it somewhere I'm not participating. (I have a "fanless PC"
cartoon which was used in a Mac user group newsletter, for example, after the editor asked me
for permission.)
