Please Email Custom Levels to me

by Alex Swanson · in Marble Blast · 10/27/2003 (3:15 pm) · 72 replies

Hi guys,

Once Rick O. gets back I am going to see if we can set up a central download archive of custom levels and marble graphics, along with some other map making resources. This should solve all those dead link problems that everyone has been having.

Anyone who has any custom levels, please email them to me alex_swanson@garagegames.com - make sure to include the name you want lested as the levels author in the email.

Thanks much guys, good to see so many people enjoying MB -

Okay guys, sorry for the delay - here is is. Very simple for now, I'll have to update it by hand as I get more levels, eventually we hope to have user ratings and commentary, but that will probably have to wait until the next major site update.

Here it is: www.garagegames.com/marbleblast/levels.php

Jozza,

Tell it to "give" you permission. Check Preferences.

Jozza's problem sounds the same as what henry emailed me about - Henry, are you still having that problem? Are you both using Safari (that is what I am using, but I didn't have any problem)

I will ask rick if there is anything he knows that could be causing the ftp site to ask for a login from some people.

Jozza, Rick doesn't think that there is any reason your browser should be asking for a login. We haven't been able to reproduce the problem so it is hard for us to figure out what is wrong. Some earlier versions of Safari had major problems with ftp authentication... so maybe that is it. Have you made sure that you have a current browser version and/or tried it with a different browser?

Could you tell us the OS version and browser version you are running, as well as the exact text of the error? Also, I can email you an archive of the levels if you want to be able to play the levels while we are figuring this out.

My motherboard went nuclear in the middle of last month...i lost quark, marbleblast, and everything else because i thought it was a Windows problem...Quark and MB are easy to get, but a new motherboard requires money, and all my level projects are gone! It's gonna be a few weeks before i can start making levels again...just gotta get the $$$ together for a new motherboard!

Right now i'm using a crappy ol' Celeron 400 with a 4-gig HD.

Ain't there such thing as a money tree?

marbleman

PS. It would be useful if there was a tree that grew new motherboards and copies of QuArK and MB.
