Moving GUI Objects

Can someone please explain to me how to move GUI elements around, yet make them still line up properly in different resolutions?
I try to move the buttons on the main menu around and when I get them placed, they look good at 800x600, but when I switch to 1024x768 they are all out of place.
Help! :)

Personally, I think Relative should be the default.

You're going to want "Relative" sizing.Personally, I think Relative should be the default.

REMEMBER to click apply afterward also, otherwise it will not update its sizing.

So for example - if you want something to always be in the lower-right corner, choose "left" and "top" for the relative horizontal and vertical positioning. Likewise, for something in the upper left, choose "right" and "bottom".

The trick to getting the GUI to look right is to realize that when you set the relative position - choose the side furthest away from the component you are trying to place. So for example - if you want something to always be in the lower-right corner, choose "left" and "top" for the relative horizontal and vertical positioning. Likewise, for something in the upper left, choose "right" and "bottom".

I remember some problems with Relative not working quite right, I think they got out of alinement, not sure now. So I think its a good idea to check it.

Relative also RESIZES the buttons. Which is not always good.
