L33t talk???

I am confused. I saw someone on TT and they were saying stuff like w00t and l33t and stuff and I'm just wondering if someone could translate this for me? I know I know I'm probably a nerd because I don't know this stuff.
P.S. I DO know what lol means I'm not THAT isolated

LOL I don't think so. I heard some "cool" kids saying it a couple of days ago and I saw it on the back of my friend's friend's shirt and it had a japanese girl saying "Does anyone here speak l33t?"
