Yes, I submitted a resource yesterday when it was announced, guess posting a thread is quicker though. They should really read resources more often.

Anyway, this is great news, since it also works on Mac... so now we need an exporter and we've got Mac modelling covered :)

(For those 2 guys doing modelling on a mac anyway)

Look at it this way: once your resource gets posted, it will be visible for much longer than this thread !

The only problem with PLE is the fact that its for educational purposes only. Unless liscensed for commercial application (IE Unreal Tournament 2003+). And good luck finding any SDK resource that will cover it. I am not sure but with the lack of MAYA support on most game platforms I doubt they hand it out as freely or at all.

You also cannont run plugins with the PLE (unless Alias authorizes it) and you cannot share PLE files with normal Maya. There is also the issue about using it to develop work for a product that will potentially go commercial too, so be careful because free does not always end up being free.

So im guessing there aint a 3rd party render out there that supports .mp files the PLE uses?
