Reg Key Passing

This morning I came across "CZK" passing out Registration Keys to any Demo who asked for it.

Here's a detail of my screen grab, with reg key partially covered:

Joe and the rest of the BT crew have been so great to us TT regulars; it makes me mad to see their game being given away for free.

RealArcade does there demo this way: They allow the player to play the full game, with all features for a limited time. If they like the game, they will then purchase.

The discussion of whether to feature limit or time limit a demo (or a combination of both), and how this affect games sales, is an interesting one, and my personal opionion is that no global solution works for all games.

Your opinion is noted.

Have recently come across demos using the bogus :czk: code version key. Suggest on-line servers do seat code/fingerprint matching to reduce abuse. Will be watching for further abuses,would have paid $50 for the enjoyment of this game. attack czk!!!!

RealArcade place where you can download their demo version. Hey and look they also got a fourm to post up some stuff. But GG will always be the number 1 place to get your TT fix

@Filbert: I believe you have it slightly wrong too, and that it is DEMO {player name} not (DEMO) player name.

Yes -Z-, you're right, it's |Bot| for the bots, and DEMO (player_name) for demos.

I personally haven't seen any demos in tanks other than med's yet, but I'll be on the lookout.

I also don't often run into CZK, but if I do, I'll be sure to pump a few rounds into his sorry butt! Cheap b@stard! I really hate people that steal codes, ESPECIALLY for something as inexpensive as TT! I mean, come on man- it's 20 freakin' bucks! How can people afford to have a computer if they're too cheap to buy a $20 game? Unreal. And it makes me angry. I hope BT does something about this. I love this game, and would hate to see it get ruined by jerks like CZK.

I haven't seen CZK in a long time... Maybe something has already been done about him... this thread is over a month old... A lot can happen in one month...

I hope he got what he deserved!!!

I've been a RealOne Arcade member for a long time. they have club, for $6 per month, you can download any game they have to offer once a month for free, plus $5 dollars off any game there after. I was shocked when I saw TT's on it... I could've saved $14... I could've looked at it like a free matinee at the movie theater... Oh well... It's just money...
