Sound Issues & New OpenAL?

Anyone who knows --
Does ThinkTanks use OpenAL for its sound? The reason I ask is because some people have reported sound troubles after the move to OGG files, and Ryan Gordon has just released a new rebuilt version of OpenAL. In his notes, he writes:
"Supports AL_EXT_vorbis for direct playback of Ogg Vorbis audio; the Vorbis decoder is a highly optimized and Altivec-enabled fork of xiph.org's libvorbis-1.0...using this extension can be significantly faster and easier for the application than using a stock libvorbis and buffer queueing."
I'm not a programmer, so most of that is over my head, but the Ogg Vorbis part stuck out for me and I thought it was worth a mention here if it proves helpful. Gordon does say this is a kind of mini-AL and doesn't include all of the OpenAL specification yet, but I'd be interested in trying it if it might be helpful. No need to load it if ThinkTanks uses OS X's coreaudio or something else. :0
EDIT: Forgot to put in the URL to the description and such:
