Advice from a PRO needed

Hi everyone,
Years ago I dropped out of college and joined the internet revolution. After a few years I made a lot of money. Now I'm want to assemble a team of game developers and put in anywhere between $20,000 and $30,000 into a game project.

I have an excellent Idea for an FPS MMO. How do I know it's excellent? It changes dramatically the way MMOs will be played.

I want build a free MMO with an online shop and a few other ways of making money from it. there will be no Missions it will only be a First Person Shooter with Many Big Maps.

I know I must invest alot into advertising the game.

I can't Pay salaries. I can only give Equity to my employees.

My Questions are:

How many people do I need.

If you're a game developer or a graphic artist or designer. What is the lowest amount of equity you are willing to work for (If you like my idea)

How Much money will I need (Not counting advertising).

How much will I need to spend on Hardware and Software?

How and where can I recruit Game Developers?

How Long will it take?

Is there anything else I need to Know?

I'm not a PRO, I'm an indie, I doubt you'll find any pro here.

Every newcomer wants to make a MMO. If it was so easy there would have been billions of games.

There is plenty of information for all your questions, even on these forums.

Pay attention there is a sticky here about MMO

Above all advises what you need is to start with something small and advance to the bigger more challenging game.

Unless you have 1 mil $.

That's it.

Mark:

The one thing that we noticed when we started planning a MMO wasnt even the game itself, it was the amount of work that needs to go into the tools. T3D is a good start, but youll have a ton of PREP work before even getting to serious MMO programming itself.

Thats why even though we are designing the game, we are spendng the time atm writing the tools needed and making T3D perform the way we want it to. Thats how DotNetTorque got started along with all the other tools that we have in various stages or planning and programming.
