Creating a mission from scratch

Ok, I've played around with the terrain editor and world editor a bit. Now, I want to make a new world from scratch now, so I can start devising a test level for my game.

How do I create a new mission from scratch?

I've seen people talking about a "blank mission" but haven't seen that posted anywhere. Is that something that is available?

Also, on the Terraformer nothing seems to happen when I click various buttons and options. I've tried changing the height boxes, changing to the various different terrain types and clicking "apply" but nothing seems to happen.

What am I missing here? =)

Ok, I got a mission down to just a basic terrain and sky. Now, when I attempt to modify the terrain, I am running into a problem.

I highlighted a section and clicked the "flatten" button in the Terrain editor. After I relight, I see this:

Anyone know what's causing that?

Ok, I've tried several different things, and no matter what I do, if I change the landscape in any way, I get the above type of effect.

I have a feeling I'm missing a step (yes, I am re-lighting).

Sometimes when I was mapping for T2 I got this problem and if relighting didn't solve it I had to reapply the texture through the Texture Editor (in the Terraformer)

yep.. just ran into the same problem. Just reassign the textures ... that'll do it...
