#1 TANKSTER's Secret Weapon Revealed

by HankstaTanksta · in ThinkTanks · 09/30/2003 (2:50 am) · 38 replies

Just the other day I was playing TT and someone asked me what kind of mouse I was using without hesitation I answered a turbo ball from Kensington. Now it's your turn to tell or show us your mouse. What kind of mouse do you have?
Pull out those digital cameras and take snap shots or just write it down
I have nothing to hide except my Valentines Day boxers my wife got me last year....
I showed you my mouse now show me yours..lol

Lets have fun with this thread and not fill it with bull.
Cheers!

A plain white, low-tech, $15US (in large quantities...love corporate buying programs) Logitech Optical Mouse on both my eMac and home-built Athlon based Mini-PC. Mouse has no special keys assigned. Just old-fashion keyboarding and mousing to pop all you mini-drivers.

How lo-tech can you go?

Old school. A well-hoovered, single-click, rollerball mouse.

A sad pathetic roller mouse that came with the PC. THinking of going wireless.

Jangles: Which version? The beige and squared design or the beige and contoured version or the color-rich hockey puck one?

@Chan

Thanks for asking. It'smore translucent than beige. The same mouse that accompanied all initial g4s. Tweezers and a vacuum cleaner seem to do the trick.

I am a Logitech man all the way!
Logitech® MX700 Cordless Optical Mouse at work. It's rechargeable.
Logitech® MX300 Optical Mouse for home
Logitech® MX300 Optical Mouse and a neoprene mouse pad in my backpack wherever I go.
I hate Apple's mouse.

The shooting accuracy is all in the optical mouse!

Mfg: RaelianGamer.com
Model: GenoMouse w/USB Tail
Color: White

While driving my tank with the keyboard my genetically engineered mouse stands at attention watching the action on the monitor. I say for instance "target #1 Tankster" and he scampers around the mouse dish until he's locked on to Tanky. I then say "fire", he dips his head and goes "squeek" firing on the tank. Upon successful elimination of targeted tank I find a little cheese keeps him fresh.

Guess what, Max? I hate Apple's mouse too. Unfortunately, that's what I got. (sigh)

Optical is just about it, but...

Single click

Clear plastic surface that gets oily from all the chips I eat while immersed in TT lol

"Cute" little grey apple icon

Little red light that illuminates the mouse outline for those frezied battles in the dark at 3 am when I send the mouse flying into some box in the corner

Lovely cord that gets tangled with the twenty other cords just as I am lining up for sniper or dodging on the way to the goal

Wonderful oval shape that will give me carpal tunnel within a year, I swear

Whole-mouse button designed for photoshop or dragging icons, not warfare. My shot bursts always start a half second later than when I press down (BIG deal, trust me). Effortless to click with but IMPOSSIBLE to fire with.

Plastic edge that glides great on anything that is smoother than my carpet

Optical sensor that picks up movement on anything rougher than my carpet (lol)

Lots of dirt and grime (see # 2)

Technical crap on the bottom including Apple® Pro Mouse, "Assembled" in Malaysia, and 'For home or office use' ( so I guess it wasn't really designed for tank warfare and super-lag lol)

Here is what I have: Mouse and Keyboard

Here is what I think we should get: Mouse and Keyboard

Here is what I really want: Mouse and Keyboard

Lol

Asterisk (yeah, I play streched out on the living room floor. Wanna make sumthing of it?!? Lol, not really my preference, but my parents won't let me move it to the desk in my bedroom. They say they are afraid of 4 am TT games in the dark ROFL)

P.S. You know it really is rolling on the floor lol

P.P.S. ZAZ! You cruel animal torturer lol! WHERE THE HELL DO ALL OF YOU GET THOSE HORRID PICS I WANT SO BAD? Lol [ WHERE, I ASK YOU, WHERE!?!?!?! ]

Pretty much the bog-standard MS mouse. It's poor for gaming, but I love it when coding - and afterall I spend more time doing the latter
