Uploading resources to share?

Hi. Just wondering if there is a way to share script files and other resources here so that they stick around permanently. I see that there is a "resources" section just like there is a blog and forum section, however I did not see a way to upload a script.

This seems like a good (better) way to share libraries and the like, as oppose to having to copy possibly 1000s of lines of code from the resource post. :)

People generally upload files to hosting websites such as MediaFire (what I use), and then post links to the files in their resources. I rather like the idea of users having a small amount of storage space accessible from their accounts. That would enable users to upload script files and maybe even a few other goodies for them to share with the community.

When using external file hosting sites, links can change and become broken or the files may even be removed after some period of time. When that happens it renders those resources with links useless. Storage space on GG's site I think would keep that from happening.

Thanks @Caleb. My sentiments exactly!

I thought I saw a post once about *some* kind of storage here, but I guess not. I'm making a sourceforge account for a thing I'm working on now. Maybe we could all find a way to keep a Torque resources pool externally.

Yeah I believe there was a place to upload files on TDN, but it's sorta dead. :/

There's no public upload space on TDN anymore. It would be nice if someone at GG freshened it up. I know there are people using TDN every day…

In the meantime, I made a cool freeware Tweening tool and put it on SourceForge. :) I made a "resource" entry about it: www.garagegames.com/community/resources/view/21480
