[HOBBY] Looking for Coders & Torque Designers - Did you enjoy X-Com Apocalypse?

Throughout the years there have been a multitude of attempts at X-Com remakes, new visions on the model, and new "Flavors" each to varying degrees of success. Many did quite well such as what is done by Altar Games. Well, I happened to enjoy those titles as well. After happening on a thread for x-com following Firaxis' announcement that they are working on a turn based X-com game similar to Ufo Defense I also found a startling number of threads asking if there was ever going to be any others like the third in the series: Apocalypse.
Well... I happened to LOVE apocalypse as well. The real time and turn based switching, the investigations... each building in the city being its own unique map. All wrapped inside the same team management, base management, and research/production models built on the original X-Com and TFTD. I would like to put out a call to arms for coders and game designers to see if a sufficient number of people would be interested to join forces to recreate this gameplay model in a fun, playable form. We will go from there as far as commercializing.
My hobbyist/indie group, Ghostly Studios, has a little bit of bandwidth to contribute to this but we will not have enough people to apply given another project we are working on. I have written up a story which I will attach here later (Im at work) that ties a great fictional background to this model in a way that could absolutely be used to create an X-Com Apocalypse type world. I am also working on a rough 5 page design document that will expand to greater depths soon which ill attach at that same time which will detail the projects ideas and foundations.
Ultimately, I would like to gather interested parties to see who is interested in creating a squad based tactical strategy with a cyberpunk setting based around corporate greed and alien incursions? I do not want to change much at all, but rather add to whats there... IE storyline expansion, more mission types, ect. We still want to keep a type of tile based approach to maps and etch on destructibility in future stages. Our first steps of approach right now would be to establish a technical demo of the basic gameplay elements.
I AM still going to be asking for interested parties in areas like Art, Concepts, and 3D as well but Ghostly Studios has a few artists at hand who may be interested in providing help here. We will definitely be looking for someone familiar with the interface to develop an interface as well. If all else fails, I will personally front the money for third party 3d assets to be used for the development of an alpha build. We will see where we can take this thing...
So, is anyone with me? Does this interest anyone?
