Eclipse and Torque 3d 1.2

Hello,
I'm looking for alternatives to Visual Studio 2010 for developing with Torque 3D. I've been looking for Eclipse support with the engine and I found this link:
http://www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/15205
It's from 2004, and I'm uncertain it works with the current engine. If anyone can shine any light on this subject, I'd be very grateful.
p.s Garage games really needs a new forum, this one gives me headaches just trying to browse it.

I've also just noticed that you've missed the point of this post. I made this so that I can edit the engine in eclipse, but it turns out that visual studio 2010 express works with torque.
p.s: is there a new forum scheduled for release soon? These ones are far too clunky and hard to search, and generally need a fresh start in a more phpbb styled environment. The moment people can communicate better, they will help each other and your community will keep itself alive.

Hi Jonathan, I've bought torsion, it's a hefty price to pay for what it is, but I'm asking so that my collegues need not have to pay so much so that they can concentrate on pitching for studio licenses for Torque 1.2, as we're an indy bunch trying to get on our feet.I've also just noticed that you've missed the point of this post. for indies who want to build a game on the cheap, visual studio express will be your best bet. also your first line asked if there were any alternatives to Visual Studio, and thats what i delivered. i didnt know much of eclipse when i posted, but after jumping to the end of that forum post, you can see that David posted saying that "The Eclipse environment that was posted years ago is not supported in any way anymore." and for the forum i dont know whats in the pipeline since i'm in QA/UX Design :P

The Eclipse environment posted in there years ago is no longer supported. It was also done for TGE and wouldn't apply to T3D easily. I fiddled with that Eclipse environment back in the day, and it honestly was more trouble than it was worth. It was a pain to work with, fortunately Microsoft came out with the Express versions of Visual Studio which that Eclipse environment no longer necessary.

Do you have a known workaround for this?

Hello again Garagegames. I've ran into a hitch in regards to VS 2010 express. It appears that it does not contain "ATL", which is causing an error on line 24 of stdfx.hDo you have a known workaround for this?

You need to install the Platform SDK.
