iTorque 2D under Windows XP

Hello,
I want to make games for iPhone using iTorque 2D, but under Windows OS, not Mac OS.
I have computer with Windows XP and iPad, that I will test the games.
I have few questions about iTorque 2D:
1. I need to have Mac OS to build / export the final game for iPad?
2. I need to purchase a developer account on App Store to publish the game?
That was all.
Thank you in advance for answers!

1. Correct, if you want to test anything on the device you need an OSX 10.6.6 Intel machine or you can't do it. (a Core 2 Duo one not Core Duo, cause Core Duo can't upgrade to Lion and in 2012 that will be the minimum requirement to develop for iOS any longer)

2. You don't purchase a dev account, you purchase a yearly subscription for iPhone Development at apple. but yes you need that. Not only to publish the game but to test on your devices at all, you can't build for devices without it.

I would not recommend to focus too much on windows for iOS development because without constant testing and experining it you won't create anything that someone on an iOS device would want to play -> you waste yours and their time. So plan your development accordingly that you at latest 50% into the project start to use osx primarily, not as 'a from time to time thing'

Also for optimization and debugging you will have to use XCode and Instruments so the earlier you get used to them, the better for you
