New to Torque? Looking for a project? Broodgaming

Although I'm sure projects come and go regularly here at GG, I'm hoping to get some newer developers together for a "first-time" project. This is a perfect time to join a group of developers that are all learning together. This does not pay at this time.

The difference here is that this project, while having the possability of being sold if things work out, will be primarily focused on producing something to help new developers build up a portfolio and get a little experience with T3D in a bit more of a collaborative environment.

We are producing a horror-themed adventure game with a mideval setting and RPG elements. More information can be provided as needed, via email. (contact@broodgaming.com)

Although this is a "beginner" level project, I'd ask that you own a copy of T3D or at least plan to purchase as soon as necessary, depending on your planned contributions. If you have yet to purchase, looking over the demo and knowing how to pull assets into T3D is a requirment for joining the team. (Again, depending on your planned contributions to the project.)

We have a website up, but most content is visible only once invited and provided a login. We have working forums, media sharing, and organization tools. We also use Skype for team meetings.

Currently we are seeking all skill-sets, but would love to have one or two good concept artists with great imaginations.

Anyone with experience who'd like to contribute to our project is also welcome, of course. ;) We could use someone with experience who enjoys helping others learn. The key here is that this is not a paid project, although that may happen in the future if the project does well. (Obviously that's the goal, but realism says that being a "first-timers" type of project, it will likely be of a lower quality than something T3D/paid developer would put together.)

So, again... if you want to get in on a "beginners" project, be sure to reply here or send an email to contact@broodgaming.com and I will reply as soon as possible.

Hope to hear from you!

I just wanted to post a quick update and say that we could use audio talent (both sound effects and music, if possible) as well as concept artists.

We have 6 members at this time with varied skill-sets and experience, but are still very early in project design. This is still a great time to get into a project from the very beginning.

One thing I hadn't noted before, but feel is necessary at this point: We do need anyone who responds to be at least 18 years of age or older.

Please reply here, or feel free to contact me directly at contact@broodgaming.com if interested. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, Brian!

I've contacted you via email. I look forward to discussing things with you.

By the way, I just wanted to note that I really didn't intend for the announcements you saw to be visible to anyone just visiting the website. I've fixed that.
-So, there's much more to the website than what you saw, and others shouldn't worry if they happen wonder where that information came from. We're just keeping things locked down for now as best we can. ;)

@Fandiwhuang: I appreciate the reply. My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Holidays and all. ;)

A passion for game development and the drive to learn and produce content are great, and can go a long way. I'll also say that even though this is a first time project for many of the current members of my team, I do expect potential members to have at least worked with T3D a bit.

I have had a couple of bad experiences where emails were exchanged only to find out that the potential member hadn't even opened the world editor for more than an hour or two, or used the tutorials available on this very website.

So, as long as you are familiar with how assets are pulled into T3D and can show off a little of your work, it would be worth your time to contact me.

Please feel free to email me at contact@broodgaming.com with more details about yourself, as well as examples of your work. I'll communicate more with you via email.

We could use a programmer with torque experience. Level design is covered.

If you'd like to talk more about the project, feel free to email me. Contact@broodgaming.com

My artwork can be found at www.elisastarfire.com . As you will see my artwork is a bit cutesy. however I'm not at all afraid of getting my hands messy for something more gruesome. I hope I can be of some use for you.

Hi I'm Nick. I can commit to a few monsters/characters and a few prop objects. I can make my own concepts, but I will need some art direction so it fits your project needs, eh?

Here is my work:
