Confused about Studio vs individual licenses

So, I own T3D binary. I'm enticed by the "upgrade to studio->get full source" option, but I'm having trouble understanding what I'm giving up (if anything).

To ask simply: If I were to upgrade for $49 to a studio, full source version of T3D, would I be able to start developing immediately with full source? Or would I end up with a studio with 0 seats (thus forcing me to have to buy seats)?

I HOPE the answer is the former, because I'd hate to spend money to get less than what I had before :(

It converts your existing license to a studio license, so you will have one to assign to yourself to use. Any others for people joining your studio would need to be purchased. But you will not lose your license.

Thanks a lot! I was confused by this:

Q: If I only have one seat in my studio, can I, as the studio administrator, still develop with the software?
A: No, you can only have as many developers as you have seats. The studio account itself does not count as a seat.

I wasn't sure if I was starting a STUDIO account, or a STUDIO + 1 SEAT.
