My system(5-sense A.I) let characters smell taste see hear and feel. What do you think about that?

Interesting, what kind of performance does it have?

I don't think all 5 senses would be entirely necessary in a FPS (Hearing, sight and possibly smell for monsters) would be sufficient.

Although all 5 senses might be used in an adventure game or a life simulation setting.

Could you graft on extra senses? Like a sharks electrical senses, or a pit vipers infra-red tracking? This would open a whole new world of nasty monsters to play with.

Did you implement this in any game or did you test it with a real game?

Touch is a valuable sense for any AI.

Just out of sheer curiousity, what the hell does that even mean? All AI is based upon raycasting
of some sort or another, and unless you're using IK for the fingers, or particle dispersal for smell
there's no actual difference between any of the senses except for touch which deals with collision
detection. Moreover, how do you deal with all the stimuli? Do you use a neural network to analyze the
different combinations, or do you just use a simple state machine? What I *think* is that I could claim that
I created a sentient machine capable of controlling the thoughts of everyone around me but that wouldn't
actually mean anything without details. Honestly, what other kind of reaction were you expecting?
