#162 Some ideas/questions for FP (trying to anticipate the preseason kinks):

1. Only host battlemode league games from 7-8PM Pacific. Your other servers/maps/games are great, but only running 2 games at once will ensure good connections for all 20 or so players. I've noticed that pings to your servers get pretty high when you are hosting 3 games with many people online. Maybe that's just a function of your custom maps, since they take longer to load...

2. How are we planning to start games... what's the protocol going to be? How about bringing both games online at 9PM sharp? As soon as the games/servers appear, the battle begins. It's unnerving to wait around like 5 or 10 minutes waiting for somebody to show up and then starting. It's gonna be tight running 2 matches at 7 followed by 2 matches at 7:30. Would be good to start right on time. I've asked my team to be ready before 7 to ensure a prompt start to the game, and suggest that the other captains do the same. If you're late to the match, too bad...

3. The servers should have a name like "medulla vs. receptors" so that people don't get confused on which game they are supposed to jump into. It would be nice to know what team color to choose also... Could make a code to name the server, for example: for a medulla (blue team) vs. receptors (green team) the server could be named "M(blue) vs. R(green)". That way people would know exactly where to go and what color to choose.

#163 I say you set up a pre-game assembly room where the teams meet up before the game. It would be kinda like a sports locker room, giving both teams a chance to warm up and get coordinated. One of the team captains would host this game. Then, at game time, the captain shuts down the server, someone has the game ready, and all players enter simultaneously or close to it.

This "locker room time" would ensure all players are able to get to the game on time, and would also give the actual fight a definite start time.
