Battle News Brief: Team Cranium bests short-handed Team Synaptic

Team Cranium halts it's losing streak by beating Team Synaptic. A full squad of five Cranium tankers best Synaptic, which was down a tank, for both matches. Cranium scored 73 to Synaptic's 60 in the first match and for the second match, Cranium scored 67 to Synaptic's 52.

Cranium forgo it's usual regional defensive play style for a swarm offensive style backed by a single heavy. Synaptic also played an offensive game but because they were down a man, they could not keep up with the attrition rate.

Both teams played a great game and even thou Synaptic was short a man, the team made an excellent showing. Cranium played their best game to date and will have to continue to start a winning streak.

It was us three verse all of them, and we were outnumbered. They had lots of heavy, and I we could not get a shot on them before we had 4 heavy fires on us. We put up a good fight though, and kept the gap at two for most of the firtst gmae.

I'm not sure why scores aren't in the table at FP's site. I know last week my screenshots to team captain LC50 were Stuffed instead of ZIPped, so he may not have gotten them open... Here is the listing of scores from last week's and this week's Medulla games (Screenshots available here):

------ Last Week ---------

Synaptic v Medulla - Game 1
Synaptic: 36
Medulla: 48

Synaptic v Medulla - Game 2
Synaptic: 52
Medulla: 49

Totals Game 1 + Game 2
Synaptic: 88
Medulla: 97

-------------------------
------ This Week ---------

Medulla v Freudian - Game 1

Freudian: 19

Medulla v Freudian - Game 2
Medulla: 48

Edit: Fixed second listing for This Week which said "Game 1" instead of "Game 2".

Captain's Report
Team Medulla is rolling strong with a 3-0 record thus far. The rock-solid heavies (LC50, Dementus, Michael) and furious light duo (Azazel, Ben) have been too much for the other teams to handle. In the season opener, Medulla squeaked by a well-formed Cranium team 70-67. In the second week, Medulla was frought with several excused absences which left Dementus and Ben heavily outnumbered against ruthless Team Synaptic. In a game that is sure to go down in Medulla history, Ben and Dementus not only survived, but triumphed over Synaptic 97-88. Game three saw a full roster of Medullans soundly beat a 3-tank Freudian team 72-48. Next week pits Medulla in a rematch against a newly-dangerous, mostly light-tank Cranium team that recently upset Synaptic. Also next week will be the debut of Medulla's newest member, a very deadly heavy tank manned by Quiter. Can Cranium stop Medulla's momentum? Stay tuned!

Sure is a lot of trash talking going on here. I suppose some of us need the psychological boost in order to battle as well as possible; and others just keep quiet, focused and win.

Aw, c'mon, Dementus! That's no way to comment on your teammates! I'm sure if you just spoke nicely to Ben and LC50, they would refrain from posting all that garbage yippity-yap.

I'd appreciate some commentary Yippity-Yap (® 2003 Jangles Inc., www.jangles.ca) from some of the other Captains on the status of their teams. For example: how's attendance? team makeup? exceptional players? outstanding moments? Kinda like a sportscenter type of thing...

I bet you would appreciate that. Here's a little reading in the meantime : www.ontla.on.ca/french/hansard/house_debates/35_parl/session1/la022.htm.

Maybe we could make a kinda sportscenter thing, where all the captains email their players stats to one central "anchor" who then makes a post using the info. It would be an interesting read at the least.
