Howdy all! I though I'd let you know about a little program I ran across, called GroBoto which seems like it would be a HUGE help with creating Matte Painting extractions. As an example, it took me about 30 seconds to build a model, then loaded up the render into Photoshop. I'm terrible at matte painting, which is something I'm trying to learn, but with a lot more time and effort, this could really turn into a good, detailed piece. If you are considering making concept art before jumping on to your game in Torque, you might want to give GroBoto a try with your workflow.

If anyone can give me a few hints on Matte Painting Digitally, any help would be greatly apprecaited as well. :D

My comment will be to draw what you see, not what you think you see, and your viewers imagination (and they are not looking at it as closely as you) will fill in a lot of the details.

Also thanks for linking to Groboto.. definitely looks like a neat little tool. They seem to do a good job making a pretty clean mesh out of boolean operations.. Though, I wish they had seam styling per seam instead of over the entire mesh. Other than that though it looks pretty neat. I downloaded the demo.
