Tutorials for Torque 2D demo version 1.7.5

Hi, Just downloaded the demo version of Torque 2D and am trying to work through the tutorials, but can't even get started.

I am up to: Tutorials > Feature > Mounting > New assets.

It gives me a link to download the new/old/whatever assets and gives me instructions on how to manually add them to the C:\Program Files\Torque\Torque Game Builder 1.7.5\games\TutorialBase\resources\starterArt folder. Which I've done.. twice. No matter what I do, I cannot get them to load properly. I've hunted high and low, and can find scattered information here and there on making this work but nothing seems to work for me.

Specifically I'm talking about the raincloud bit, making the rain come out of the cloud etc. the rain particle effect does not show at all. it's just an empty box, and when i drag it into the workspace, it's still an empty box.

I am seriously considering buying your stuff, but I'm getting very frustrated and feeling very stupid about not even being able to get the tutorial started. How can you have such a lack of tutorials for such a complicated piece of software? Everything i find is on old versions that you no longer support.

I would have thought that supplying some nice easy-to-follow VIDEO tutorials with your product be a given.

We do have a video of the Rainy Day tutorial, which covers the cloud, particles, mounting, etc: Rainy Day.

Specific to the problem you are having, I did update the online version of the tutorial you are reading: Mounting. Specifically, look at this line:

Quote:Before we continue, we are going to need some additional images and particles. If you have not already done so in a past tutorial, click here for instructions on adding the additional assets.click here for instructions on adding the additional assets.

The part that says "click here" shows you how to get the missing particle effects. When I perform an update to TGB, the tutorials, docs and resources will be repair to work out of the box.
