i think the style i play in battlemode just teaches me better scrum play like dodging without it i couldn't score once or as clax will tell you my score and blow the h*ll out campers style works well man that was a fun game..oh of topic there and battlemode is much harder to get the skills you have to have
but if you play a dodging style then scrum will come very easy to you.
and another fun thing is going off hills slightly turning doin a 360 and blasting your fallowers(why do i always have a lot of them?) then landing going the way you came
and then back to ramming i hate it theres almost no skill in it normaly but the odd time i will ram and injured oppenet after a hard doge fight with it but always from the sides or rear and to tell ya the truth tankster ramming is like a barbaric heroic and dog fighting is like a sword duel whos will win brute strength or skill
then to lc50 first off never ram him in the sides or front he handles his heavy to well but if you go around him dogde style fake left go right style get about 2 rounds in to him like that then try if you can to get his rear then push
but over all lc50 is the best heavy player and doesn't fit the duelist or the rammer catagorys hes a sniper(the heavys best use)and for a heavy very agile
oh and the tip of the day if you are being chased hit a tree so you bounce back behind him lol

But I like scrum even though I almost always play battlemode. Team scrum is in my humble opinion the most fun just because it requires cooperation and that is something most people are sadly deficient in... Scrum and Battlemode are completely different to me. Scrum is not a better battlemode, and battlemode isn't scrum without the ball. Strategies are similar but still different. You can play and win scrum without killing anyone once, but battlemode depends on your fighting skill. In scrum you better drive well and quickly. Also, scrum is really limited to just one tank. It is pretty much impossible to play scrum in a heavy. Battlemode lets you use all the tanks.
Ramming is more like street fighting. Call it noble and heroic if you want, Tankster, but a rammer is a street fighter, not a dueler. Ramming only works on demos and inexperienced players. Shoot and Dodge or whatever we're gonna call the other type IS the way to fight on this game. It's one of the only ways to take down heavy tanks if you're in a light. And there is nothing more fun (in the game) than two tanks circling and shooting and so on. That's the way to duel. Ramming is the way to get demo kills.

I agree with you though, i play even amounts of scrum and battlemode. To tell the truth, if i am feeling vexated (more than before now, school has started) then i really prefer battlemode. However, scrum is a great game too, and there is almost nothing more rewarding then that last run to the goal, hit a jump pad, swerve a camper, bounce a tree and IN! Contrary to the opinions of other scrum players, i think that battlemode is an art in itself. There are completely new tactics that are nowhere in scrum. For instance, in scrum if someone starts shooting you, you just try and hurry to the goal. In battlemode, you have to turn and fight it out- most of the time there is no way to shake a good light tank follower in battlemode. The map is not THAT big. In battlemode there is sneaking up, which never happens in scrum because it involves the victim standing still and the captor snooping around, neither of which are at all reasonable or even sane tactics in scrum. Also, the only opportunity for snipers in scrum is campers. This obviously means that you yourself are not going after the scrum, which is the point of the game. In fact, sniping is sort of its own game. i have had many fierce sniper duels where you have to have a fast, accurate, and steady hand as well as sharp eyes and lightening reflexes. You need to dodge around incoming bullets and fire back immeadiately. Battlemode makes lots of use of the radar, but for different reasons. Instead of looking for the scrum, you search for smoking people hiding behind big rocks and watchout for sneak-ups while you are sniping.
Battlemode is a very different game, with its own styles and tactics.
Just my two cents (ahem ben)

Wow, not only did I get on the list, but a 15. I'm blushing. Then to have the new and improved cpt Rik pronounce his accomplishment of whooping my ass clean and simple implies that beating me must mean something. Chilling.Ghost, you are a good player, A name I always look for and am happy to see.
