Recompile TGB editor CS files????

Hi,
I have what I hope is a simple question.
I have located all the torque script files that make up the TGB editor (.ed files) and I wish to update them to add some functionality to the editor.
I have tried removing the old dso file hoping it would then take my changes and recompile on load but that didn't work. I have also tried making a copy of the file into my game project compiling it there and then moving the new compiled file back over the original dso.ed file but that didn't work either.
Does anyone know how to do this or have any suggestions on what to try?????
