3d Game Programming All In One Cd source help

by David Biga · in Torque Game Engine · 07/19/2011 (12:20 pm) · 5 replies

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew where i could download the source code for 3d Game Programming All In One second edition because when I ordered this book on Amazon they didn't even say there wasn't a CD and it was in the New Condition. The Cd contains the source code and the demo engine and all the art work itself.

Thanks!

Sounds like you need a refund.

Yes, file a refund complaint against the seller.

I did and they tell me "Oh we had a comment saying it has slight shelf-wear and text-only." How is that new?

Thanks though guess I do have to return it by paying for restocking fee and shipping.

Word of advise read everything and content them before buying...That's what I learned

Best regards,

David

If the item was described as "New Condition", anybody would expect it to include all the relevant elements that are supposed to come with the product.
Additionally, the CD contains source code ; as far as I can tell, this is text. Whether the "text" ("text only" in the comment) comes from multiple media (printed book, or digital CD) is irrelevant. The description of the item was inaccurate, and if the seller refuses to refund/replace the item at their own cost I would recommend to open a "dispute" ticket with Amazon.

Also, you may want to check inside for instructions inside the book ; most of time, a link to download the sources is also provided. I haven't read that book specifically, but it's worth checking as it might save you the troubles.

I don't have my copy in hand but I believe there is a website to get the materials/lessons from the disk. there is no source code, it comes with the TGE demo if I remember correctly along with some other trial software.
Unless by source code you meant the accompanying software.
