Scrum League: Updates, Changes!

Hi all,
Just in case you havn't noticed, I was away from working on the league for a large portion of the summer. This was for many reasons, not the least of which was simply because I was lazy, but now I am back at it and making several major reoganizations.
#1. Team Captains:

I have decided to implement team captains in the league system to help keep the teams together and working properly. The team captains will be elected by the members of teams that email me with their nomination within a 4-day period, This wednesday through saturday.If this fails I will appoint captains to the teams that no one was nominated in. Team captains will have the ability to shuffle their teams roster and arrange practices.
#2. Talent Pool:
As a tool for the team captains I will be assembling a site that lists all players not currently suspended or playing wiht one of the teams and their email addresses. Captains will be able to use this to recruit new players if they need them.
During the time until saturday I will be setting all this up so that the league can continue normal (and hopefully more stable) operations from now on.

DoomT it's like sidelines of sporting event. When a player gets injured (or busted lol) they go to their "talent pool" of reserve players.

Scrum league games are every saturday at 2:00pm PDT (it still is pdt right? :)) and 4:00pm PDT.Loler

Today must have been the lamest game of all time.
We trounce the enemy at 4players vs 3. The 3 enemies were all subs (TD left in disgust (to rake the leaves in his yard) while I jumped around like crazy to find subs). Damn TD! =)
Anyway we played with Baba, Weentank (sorry guys for the poor introduction) and ( for 'GS') Devastator and Ben(SA) in their first league game - they gave us a good challenge!

1- TO CAPTAINS: BE ACTIVE AND RECRUIT NEW ACTIVE PLAYERS FROM THE TALENT POOL! TGS IS NOW 8 PLAYERS (I RECRUITED 2 NEW ONES THIS WEEK) AND WE HAD 5 SHOWING UP FOR TODAY'S GAME VS 1 GHOST SQUAD. THIS SUCKS. THERE IS FULL OF GOOD PLAYERS WAITING TO JOIN. SHERMAN SEEMS TO BE DOING A GOOD JOB. TD AND TALLY PLEASE RECRUIT! EMAIL TALENT POOL AND ASK THEM - SIMPLE! A TEAM OF 10 GUARANTEES A GOOD SHOWING AT THE GAMES.
2- TO WAANABE LEAGUERS FROM THE TALENT POOL: SHOW UP FOR THE LEAGUES GAMES, PLAY AS SUBS AND GET RECRUITED ON THE SPOT!

'I would like to nominate Tank Dork to be the manager of the Scrum Major League upcoming 2nd Season.
Included in the position's power and duties are:
1- to receive new membership applications; to put them in the talent pool; to insure quick approval of membership; to create new teams; to keep updated the teams' composition.
2- to keep up-to-date website statistics, etc.
3- to organize the season schedule (days and dates, maps, etc).
4- to keep up the leagues rules and policies. to be the PW keeper.
5- To collect feedbacks and suggestions from leaguers, and to keep the updates along the general concensus.'

All those in favor of this motion, and all those against, please post below, either 'approved' or 'oppose'.

If TD accepts this position, and pending a clear approval of the majority of the leaguers, he would start his job ASAP. The fist season is rather dead, so we could start the other season around Oct 1st (along with FB Battlemode season).
TD, you can of course refuse the nomination, but we, the TT players, WE ALL KNOW you deserve this position and we trust you for being reliable.
Loler, you did a magnificient job of starting the league, and you could help in whichever ways you would like. Unfortunately, Loler is not 100% reliable in keeping up with the league quickly expanding membership and challenges. We need more of a 'semi-full-time' than a 'semi-part-time'. Hoping for your understanding.

The league servers been down, and having the server situation handled before game time woulda been nice.
I'll bet ya no one cares about betting btw. I dont. Anyone else? Have a minors parents find out he placed some action & you may have an uncomfortable situation for you, Garage Games, and Bravetree.
Attention captains, You might survey your roster for members bandwidth specs should servers go down. Hosting is easy guys. I had a main transmision fry earlier on me. When I said I was having problems thats what I meant. I had problems. Like"somebody please help".
Loler unless you can be around and help establish protocol and participate this league is doomed. We'll just start a new one.. same time.
I do really appreciate all you've put into it & would far rather see all your great effort not go to waste.

Az & All. I've cleared the firewall port on my network to reach my Mac (udp port 28000) . PREY Server .. It is set for team mode. Try it out and see if it works better than our Lag servers today. If we can get 10 players on it, I'll volunteer next time. Needed to lookup to set a VIP to my MAC or PC (Probably will use it to Host, though Mac now). Didn't expect it to work quick enough to make mid game.- PREY
