Howdy Folks, Great News!

iPisoft has made a easy and inexpensive one (kinetic) camera mocap solution that
requires no calibration.

First Download the 30 day FREE demo here goo.gl/fJXSY

Then visit my youtube channel to see the ipi mocap software demonstrated by
MrBones himself. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey3JN2hv_Q4&feature=email

Please be sure to help spread the word and tell your friends about this fun and
easy to use mocap animation software.

Thanks again and Cheers

I decided not to go with the multi-camera because the calibration annoyed me but this version sounds awesome, already have a kinect. Question is, what does it do tracking wise over me plugging in a kinect and recording the data myself?

Hi Alistair,

The kinect camera records what they call depth information, hence the gradients you see in the above video. That depth information is encoded into the video.

Once you record your body movement with the kinect camera you save it as an avi, the depth information is encoded inside the movie file.

Then you import that into ipiSoft and it is the software that tracks the depth information provided by the movie and tracks it on a body skeleton which can then be transfered to another rigg of your choice via dae collada or fbx.

What you can do and if your game, is record some movement with your kinect camera save it as a blue movie then send it to me for processing.

Im willing to do this for you for free, to show folks how well it works.

Just download the ipi recorder here. IPI RECORDER

Then send me the blue movie, I will then process it and send it back in one of the following formats.

Blender
Iclone
MotionBuilder
3DMax
Truebones
