Anyone interested in joining the new and exciting PsychoScrum

This is not the Think Tanks Scrum league.
This is an totally new league with new rules and schedule.
It does not replace the scrum league... if scrum league is American football... PsychoScrum is arena football!!!

THE 4 TEAMS CAPTAINS:
I was thinking: BABA, AZAZEL, BEEPBEEP (56K LAG), MAJOR PAIN, JANGLES, -Z-, HUGOBRAIN (will do it if need be), SHERMAN, TALLY HO, TANKY,... please come forward captains... Any volunteer or nominee?
We need 4 captains. Captains' duty is to keep their roster full - easy! We need 4 dynamic volunteers with good reputation (hehe) and network in the TT community, with regular attendance record & a bit of extra time....
THE 2 NEW TEAMS' NAMES
I suggest NARCOLEPSIA, PARANOIA, CATALEPSIA... Tally Ho suggested NAUSEA, DISPLACIA...
Along the line of TD's Psychoscrum. Captains will decide.

Well guys since there is no absolute opposition we will start the 3rd PSYCHOSCRUM LEAGUE in the coming days. As suggested per Baba we'll go on Monday first game. Until then I will have posted a new thread and we will have new teams in place and a bunch of new/old players will join in the PSYCHOMAGIC of PSYCOSCRUM!THE 4 TEAMS CAPTAINS:

I wouldn't mind joining the league. But I can't make it to Thursday games, so I guess that's a no go.
BTW: I like "displacia" as a team name but it gets into the issue with names that are too similar. Avoid having names that start and end with the same letters as the other teams.

BeepBeep and 56k are not one in the same. I'm just an on again off again member of the BeepBeep(BB) army parody/fan club (with health benefits and free candy). Sorry for the confusion. :P I wouldn't mind joining the league. But I can't make it to Thursday games, so I guess that's a no go.

As far as nominating a Captain, hmmm 4 of those 10? Geez, that's a tough choice, I think any one of them would make a good capt. If I had to narrow down to 4, Maybe Hugo, Baba, Az, and Z...

I am back.. but so far out of the loop that I hope Hugobrain is serious about running the new psychoscrum league.
I would like to play but I don't see having the time to manage or captian for a while... unless I had to.

How about we list the players ready to commit and compare it to the list of existing players. If there's enough people for 2 more teams, cool, otherwise, you can just expand your existing team...
Seniors get priority... New players have to give old players a chance to show. If they don't then the newbie's can fill in for them.
Just a thought...

If we do add expansion teams how do you think we should go about selecting members? Maybe have a pool of all interested & have a thread where captains take turns drafting talent? Just wanna make sure that teams are as evenly matched as possible.

Maybe we oughta just add a couple of players to AM & DM this season and see how it goes. If it seems like there's enough interest during the upcoming season to add more teams then it'll give us extra time to get organized.@Hugo

I think given the recent holiday week-end (in the USA) response has been lacking a bit.
I also think people don't know how to take the next step.
Which brings up MP's point about developing a mechanism for drafting or distributing players.
There is something to be said about a dictatorship, er centralized command structure, which is to say someone (namely you) assigning players to teams to start with , then captains can trade, draft , recruit as needed from then on. I can't see an easy, quick drafting mechanism.
Democracy can be so cumbersome you know.
As for tomorrow?

I hoped PsychoScrum would have retained it's 2 team roster and expanded the TT Scrum league scenario by adding or restarting the official league. Just my 2 cents. Was much funner, IMHO the way it was. We just needed some new players.
