Upgrade Path

Is there an upgrade from TGE to 3D (at a cost or free) or is it just a matter of purchasing it at $99. I've been away from Torque for sometime and I'm just thinking about returning to the engine but we all have access to such powerful royalty based engines now.
I've attempted to find the answer to this but maybe I'm just not good enough at the search engine.
Thanks

As for engine history, TSE was the second name for TGEA, the original name was Torque 2. When the changes and improvements in TSE moved far beyond just shader support the name didn't seem appropriate anymore. That's when it got renamed to TAT (Torque Advanced Technology) which lasted all of a week or two and after a lengthy thread in the forums for name suggestions TGEA was the winner.

There are no longer upgrade discounts for previous engines owned. When we came back with the new $99 price for everything we removed the upgrade discounts as well. At the $99 price point anyone upgrading would be getting a bigger discount than what they would have gotten previously. As for engine history, TSE was the second name for TGEA, the original name was Torque 2. OK thanks for that. $99 is still a very good price for the engine I was just trying to get it cheaper hehe.

It's more like TGE had an upgrade / brother that was TSE (Torque Shader Engine) which kinda turned into TGEA (advanced) then morphed into T3D, with each requiring a new license.
I can't remember if TGEA or TSE came first, I think it was TSE first.
