I was looking at the new nfl skins and i got a great idea.

Rules

1. the map to use is Ganglia Gulley

2.the two endzones are the clearings by the fog on eather side of the ammo reload station.

3.Mabye brave tree could help by making it possible to shoot the scrum with control(?) (are you listening Joe?)for kickoffs and passes other wise bump each other.

4.To make a down kill the opponent or bump him to make a fumble.

5. the rest is the rules of football tell me if you want to join a team. Either request a new team and give a name or join a standing team such as mine: Ghost squadron

We have previously requested a map with a static goal at each end and the spawn points in the center just for that style of game.. Will have to wait and see.

Or maybe FP will make us one in his spare time =)

Actually, i tried to make two goals, but its impossible using notepad. I tried it on my level, pinnacle river, but no. Sorry ppl.

I think i can come up with 2 goals that work and dont change after Sunset Peak is done i will start on CTF MAP! Big/Small arrows? flat/Tall Light/Dark what do you guys think?

Football/Soccer style. should be light.. with only a few, if any obstacles in the "main" field, using the terrain as obstacles instead.
Definately Frantic on the juke box (as Az says in next post)


CTF.. DARK like spooky is now.. not too large, with two defendable (but identical) "bases".. they should have 2-3 openings so as not to be impregnable.

CFT Ok what ive got cooking is a Comatose canyon map. Ive raised the "DEATHFOG" to leave a donut like ringaround it 30-40 feet. the rock base and the tree base are in the same place each base has a island that goes out to the center to fire on the other camp i will be putting barriers/camo in statejic places especially the islands. 2 permanent stationed goals and 2 different looking scrum flags you will get your opponets flag and score it in your own goal. The only prob I see is scoring your own flag in your own goal wich will give you a point also. Thinking set tank selection 3 light 2 med 1 heavy? Comment ideas??
PS. also can spawn each team in there own goal
Do you guys really not want a goal?
If no goals are needed it can be done by wednesday

Have you tried the regular CTF map.. Hippocampus Hollows?

ohh.. are you refering to the old map we tried shaped like a big bowl with stonehenge in the center? Not at home where my TT is installed =)

Define better the "two islands going out to center".. like

Why not 1 flag?

I agree with Az and TD: no goals. All you need is one 10-year-old in a light and the game's shot to hell. (I can't wait for 'lil kids school to start).

Keep tank selection wide open, otherwise you'll stiffle creative strategy. I think most people will realize that you need lights to knock the scrum off the heavies... and that you need heavies for comic relief. Mediums deliver pizza to the bases.

Is there a way to make the bases blue or green? Otherwise teams will probably just fight over the one particular base that becomes popular, even if you "assign" the teams to their respective bases.

Well with a gridiron map I would say make seletive spawn locations if possible.. with heavy at goal, meds and lights in middle. If not possible the have the spawn at one corner of the teams "end of the field" close enough to get into the game quick but far enough not to quick spawn to stop a goal.

Actually wandered away.. then wandered back. Same general topic though =)

The current plan Az is for each team to spawn at the rear corner nearest their base (approximately 50m). This will allow you to get back into the fight fairly quick but without the mayhem of last night.

Yes we need a static "football/soccer/basketball" map too =)
