Think Tank 1.1 Improvement Challenge!

1. When you shoot a tank it's marked as a kill and it doesn't get removed from the score. After all a kill is a kill and nobody
likes to see there score go down, it always more fun to keep the score moving up rather and up up down, up up down, down. It makes the game just that more enjoyable to see you name as the guy/gal that blew up the tank!

2. The arc of the shooting could be a bit more arc(y) if that's a word. The logistics of when to shoot more straight for closer range than farther away is good as it though.

3. A couple of new weapons would be nice too. Such as a rocket that goes about 87% of the way to the target then explodes into 8 mini rockets to target a wider area would be nice too.

4. Showing the health and amo available would be very informative and strategic

5. Sound for the moving of the tank would be nice too a couple of low speed and a couple of high speed tank sounds
would give the game a real nice feel for each type of tank in my opinion.

6. Approx. 5%-15% less bouncy would also enhance the playablitiy. I do however like the speed and jump pads. more of them would be great and each time it is used it should change direction just like when you bump into it.

7. Chosing the slower vehicles should also mean that they fire heavier shells like the light should have too shoot more than the medium and more than the heavy tanks. A better scale to allow for more people choosing the heavier tanks would be great! Right now I don't think the heavier tanks have any advantage more thought about about it would provide people with a more assortment of tanks in a particular game. Right now you really need the speed since the heavier tanks still need to fire lots of shells to kill. That shouldn't be the case.

8. Every tank should have a machine gun with either unlimited bullets or limited ones for the time when your trying to find a reloading depot and your under-attack. again machine gun bullets should be scalled like light shoots light bullets, medium, and heavy.

9. Ok, don't hurt me, I'm just enjoying the game so much I just wanted to add my 2 cents to make it better.

#1 Should not be changed!! The current way requires you to use skill and kill without being killed.. if it was changed then all that would be required would be to charge into an area with the most people and blaze away.. rinse and repeat..

#2 The arc was greater... someone complained.. now it is straight.. get used to it.. we had to.

#3 I like the simplicity of the current game.. maybe some new visuals for the current weapons.. like a huge fireball for the area effect.. maybe a mine field scatter for bubble shot where they stop and stand after a distance then explode in a second or two.

#4 Still stand with my current no health and ammo meters..
Look at your smoke and count the hits you take and shots you make!

#5 Sounds.. DEFINATELY!!! Also a gearing down for when brakes applied.

#6 Have to agree.. played on a "classic" server yesterday and once again enjoyed the physics of the light.. Of course I missed having the health beacons on the radar!

#7 Do some research.. the heavy shell packs ALOT more punch than a lights.. they will kill you EVERY TIME in a head to head shooting match. The heavy is a killing machine now.. I know I am not the only one to cringe when they round a boulder in scrum and see that the red dot on the radar is actually Hum [bot]!!!

#8 Refer to #3.. adding too much complexity.. go play Panzer Commander.

Viv a vis #1:

I made a suggestion on another thread that points only be scored for killing a tank with a higher score. This would tend to reduce trhe "kill 'em all for ponts" issue and would also make it less profitable for experienced players to bully less experienced players.

I think the brains are supposed to return to the aliens to be put in another tank.. thus the small brainpod they launch in =)

I am thinking about editing the .wav files in the game to make them more "menacing" maybe a good nuke going off for area effect!

Hmmm... what about a powerup that rolls until it hits a tank or reaches the other side of the arena?

I like the powerups that rolls all over the place, it's a very creative, inventive and one of the nicer powerups around! ;-) I don't want the game to be realistic, I just want it to be more fun and challenging by providing more selection of weapons, tank types, and strategies.

I love the capture the flag mode.

I would like to see the scoring have the following:

1. Tanks you Departed
2. Your Score which can be different from #1
{e.g) number of times you've put the flag into the zone.
3. Number of times you've been departed from the game.

This will give people the ratio of kill - death kind of which will give people an incentive to not go crazy and kill and then die after the kill, don't wanna get a death ratio bigger than my kills or score?

Another thing that comes to mind is, well, I like tunnels! I like tunnels alot! I want tunnels! Ok developers! Start digging dudes. Make some tunnels and put some brush where I can hide and no one can see me because I'm a hidden. Then I'll zoom in with my telescopic rocket/Genade launcher and fire away.

Also I want some mines to drop when I press the 'm' key for those tail-gaters!

I wonder if the developers will provide some kind of ETA for this one! :-)

Howzabout a powerup, (of which you only get one shot at a time) which explodes like an area effect powerup that freezes everything in the area of the explosion for X amount of seconds, but you can't touch a frozen tank without getting damage.

I hate to disappoint you but when a nuke explodes it sounds pretty much like an enormous hammer strikng an equally enormous anvil. Supersonic shock wave and all that. This from a friend who was at Nagasaki and another who crouched in a trench in the desert in the Fifties (actually the father of a friend).
