Gypped with Binary

I have been toying around with an idea, that has me conflicted when looking back at the course of this company. Anyone that has been around here more than a few months knows that there has been some major disappointments (on both sides of the table) with previous and current products. I may not be a "loyal" customer to the Torque line of engines (even with four engine licenses under my belt), but I believe I have held my tongue long enough and must get something off my chest.
Over the years I have purchased:
Torque Game Engine (1.4 & 1.5)
Torque Shader Engine - Early Adopter
Torque Game Engine Advanced
Torque 3D Binary
With the latest purchase being "Torque 3D Binary" which was roughly $100. Due to recent events there is this nice "promotional pricing" offered for a full license for Torque 3D for roughly $100. I find that having this "binary" license, is basically worthless, the only true benefit is I can view the private forums. In the past I have jumped on the proverbial bandwagon in the hopes something good would come out of it, and have been sadly mistaken. Honestly I do not blame Garage Games for this, as I was the one responsible for purchasing an unfinished product, with absolutely no guarantee I would ever receive one.
This was just something that has been scratching at the back of my head and had to express myself. For the users out there that bought the commercial license at the full price, I do feel your pain (just not as much in my wallet, though you do have source access). So that finished up my two cents, and I will return to being a silent troll, lurking for that special something before clicking the purchase button again.

I know it's a hard feeling but is it really so bad when you look at what you've paid?
Torque Game Engine (1.4 & 1.5) - $100 + $50 upgrade for 1.5
Torque Shader Engine - Early Adopter - No idea but isn't this TGEA anyway was it a seperate cost?
Torque Game Engine Advanced - $295
Torque 3D Binary - $100
So you've paid around $500 over 5 years -- now $100 a year for a hobby isn't that much at all if you ask me. Actually I'd go as far as to say it's a bit of a bargain considering how much other things costs to build a game - your PC, windows, photoshop, 3ds max/maya, etc
I bought T3D at its full price and sure I'd love GG to do something special for those to soften the blow of the price drop - whether it was a few free art assets, signed picture of the team or whatever but you know what I realised?
I'm actually just thankful GarageGames is still going and my beloved Torque that I've had so much fun with over the years is still alive!!
(and dare I say it stronger than I've seen it in a long time)

That's life unfortunately prices for things always drop and nobody could predict the turmoil that's gone on at GG, the stressful time the guys must have gone through looking for a new buyer and hoping they had jobs and that the new owners would drop the prices.I know it's a hard feeling but is it really so bad when you look at what you've paid?
