New to Macs and have a question if iTorque 2D will work on this ibook

Hello,

I dont have a Mac and dont have a lot of money to spend on the newest model Apple computer. Can any tell me if this used iBook that I am looking at will be fine do develope anything with the iTorque 2D or will it be just too slow?

PowerPC 7457 G4
256MB RAM
60GB Hard Drive
14.1" TFT XGA Display
DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo Drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 9200
Optional AirPort Extreme (802.11g) and Bluetooth 1.1
Mac OS X
Opaque White

You need an Intel-based Mac.

You also have to be running OSX 10.6.x. Those are the two requirements of iPhone development in general.

As a side note, all our Mac offerings for our engines require an Intel-based Mac now. We no longer support PowerPC Macs.

You dont need alot of money to get hooked up with a iDevice dev system. Just make sure its an intel. I picked up a Mac Mini for around $500 and it does the job just fine.
