I would love your help! Great resume. Being an artist, this would save me from a lot of headaches. What is your hourly rate?
I am making a simple adventure game. Like zelda ocarina of time.
These are the things i need. Let me know if you would be interested in doing any of these.

Movement - Basically, 8 directional movement (should be simple), but a target lock on where you would strafe. however i would want a over the shoulder 3rd person camera like gears of war/ mass effect. Now that can be done on my end with modeling, but i dont know how that camera will work with 8 directional movement... (ive been trying to buy the 3daak but paypal doesnt like me, maybe its a sign to go my own route)

Melee System - simalar to what you see in zelda. I know the melee is going to be a pain in the rear but it doesnt need to be complex. Just as you see it in zelda 64. Im bringin back the old school! =)
With shield blocking enabled. No dynamic shielding, just simple. say, wood shield burnt by fire. thats about as dynamic as shields would get. no armor values.

Inventory system - again same as zelda, pick your weapon/ item assign it to a button.

Armor system - Pretty simple. Just changes look and protects from certain things.

If you know how to implement a character stat system and feel up to it maybe i would consider making my character be able to level up and assign stats.

GUI - a gui to pretty much go along with all of that.

And finally gamepad support. for logitecs, xbox, and ps3 controllers.

And any other features you think would be cool, i am very openminded. If we could decide to work together i would explain more of the game show you concepts, maps, and models, but i cant do it in public yet.

I need my game to be a releaseable demo by january of next year.

i would love to hear from you as soon as you have a chance.

You can email me at wideopen411 at hotmail.com or respond back here.
i would love to contract some work out to you! that way i can focus on getting my storyboarding/modeling done.

Wow, impressive work.

I've recently created a hybrid turn-based shooter on paper. It's like risk meets call of duty. I'm an artist and know/have adobe flash, Photoshop, illustrator, and zBrush. The game's from a birds-eye view, and each player controls a team from 3-5 soldiers. On paper we use dice and an innovative attack/movement system I can describe in more depth later if interested in the project. I've also created a full set of rules and pieces/several maps and have played ~60 beta testing hours with anywhere from 2-5 players. So far it has captured all of my friends attention for hours of playing.

I want to turn this into an iPhone/android app and have started learning C++ but I would like to team up with a real programmer for a better outcome.

If you are at all interested in partnering up on the project I can explain in more detail about the game and how it works/send pictures. The game would be in a 2D format but need some 3D aspects for calculating 2nd story/1st story and angles.

Please email me at evanhoffmann@gmail.com if interested.

Thanks,

Evan Hoffmann

Hi Eric, are you still looking for work? Are you willing to relocate to Florida?

Eric has done some work for me in the past. He is fast efficient and was able to take some of my fumbling ideas and half baked drawing and turn it into code. Then he took my input and tuned the code to do what I wanted it to.

I am thrilled to have had Eric’s help in making something in T3D.
I would recommend Eric to anyone one that needs a programmer.

Respectfully,

Cliff Brock
