"Travels" is a 2d action RPG in early development. We currently have artists, musicians, writers, and directors from the industry on the team. We need to fill in the position for a programmer, as we are trying Torque2d for rapid prototyping, and possibly for publishing.

Job Description:
You will need to be a part of team discussions, and provide valuable feedback for programming/design decisions. This may include software we use, formats for graphics, or what engine we use. Eventually this position will evolve into "Programming Director" during the main production cycle if you so choose. This encompasses planning and prioritizing game features, loading in assets, and entering concise build notes. Other duties may include working with other programmers and explaining to our artists how a bit of graphics programming works.

Tools you will be using:
Torque2D
GIT/Subversion (we have both)
Mediawiki
Whatever IDE you use will probably be ok with us.

Job Criteria:
Experience needed; No degree needed, however, it is absolutely essential you know what you are doing.
Initiative; You'll be making a lot of decisions for our technology, which means being able to decide on something and stick with it.
Dedication; You'll need to have around 10 hours per week to be free for discussion and coding
Commitment; This project has a rather large scope and will take up a lot of long term time.
Time budgeting skills; Although we're very understanding that things come up, we need to meet milestones in a timely manner.

Money stuff:
As far as money, we're a startup. We're bringing a lot of talent to the table, and most of us are working for free. As much as we would like to pay commission or salary, we want to be able to pay you what you're worth without drying out our budget. The project is personally funded by us, and we're putting a lot of money into things that we can't do ourselves, such as hosting and paying for software. If it's a work related expense, we'll definitely try to help you out if we can, but other than that, this isn't the ideal project if you are looking for financial gain.
