@Kyrah - Not sure what you mean. There was no royalty clause in previous T3D EULAs.

There wasn't any? I did recall the indy license (compared to the professional license) did include royalties, or at least that i had to be published by GarageGames.

Ummm, can't say I remember any of that. The only difference between Indie and Commercial is that you had to have a commercial license if you or your company had revenues exceeding $200K. There was no publishing or royalty restraints at all.

There was talk about royalties way back, and again with iTGB. Didn't happen, though. It's been free of royalty requirements at least for six years. That's as far as my memory can go.

GarageGames, under any banner past or present, has never had a EULA for an engine sold in the store that required royalties or that the game be published by GG. The only stipulations have always been the revenue limits, the splash screen and the mention in the about box/credits.

No worries, it happens.

I actually used to work for a guy that refused to believe that the royalty free bit was true until Jay Moore and Stephen Zepp told him so in person.

You could introduce something that pays royalties to the Andy Rollins trust for weekend inebriation, just an idea.

It's one of the reasons Torque has been such a superb offer over the years - full source and no royalties are a great combo thats hard to beat
