T3D 1.1 Documentation

by Quentin Headen · in Torque 3D Professional · 01/21/2011 (9:53 am) · 2 replies

Hello everyone! Just want to say that I am a new T3D owner, thanks to the new pricing. When T3D was being talked about while things were still TorquePowered, I thought I read one time that T3D 1.1 is supposed to have CHM documentation. Will 1.1 come with better docs? Because my old Torque programming book I have covers the base concepts, but it is meant for TGE. So of course a lot of new things in T3D aren't covered.

@Quentin - Great timing. I just updated the T3D Doc Landing Page to fix some links. I also added a link to our latest Torque Reference Manual, which covers all the ConsoleMethods, ConsoleFunctions, class variables and other data exposed to TorqueScript. When you download the manual, it may be locked. To fix this:

Note for Windows Users: Due to security measures, the OS may block the CHM after you download it. To unblock it, perform the following steps:

1. Locate CHM on your hard drive
2. Right click on the CHM, then click Properties
3. At the bottom, click the "Unblock" button
4. Apply and close the properties

Wow! Thanks a lot for that. I can see that these docs are going to be amazing once even more are added.
