Hello, I would like to know what features I need in a 3D game engine in order to make a 3D adventure game like Diablo 3.
A character in a 3D world and the character have to fight against the enemy.

I know I have to load a model, load a world, load animated character, collision detection. What more do I need?

Ej.
Lightmap
BSP
Shadows

Please, help, because this is my first experience in a 3D game.
I have script, 3d models.
I have Visul C 6.0 and I need a good 3D game engine. Is that enough?
Can I use this expensives engines like Renderware, Ndl, etc. or torque is ok?

Renzo.

I think Torque would be fine. Torque already has a couple resources to get you started with a diablo style game. For example: http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=3435
