Pricing question

by David Bax · in iTorque 2D · 12/07/2010 (1:12 am) · 5 replies

About a year or so ago there was a discount for tgb owners to buy the iPhone version I think. I think it was something like it costing the price of itgb minus the price of tgb. So it ended up costing about $500 or something, I don't remember exact numbers. Anyway, that doesn't seem to be happening now. The price doesn't seem to change when I login with my account which my T2D license is in. Is this discount gone or should I be seeing a change? Or am I just crazy and confused?

I see a price of $475 which is even lower than the $500. Unsure if this is with or without TGB Pro reduction as I own iTGB already

Hmm, I have a T2D studio license and I don't see a price change. If you bought it after buying T2D do you remember if there was a discount? I'm pretty sure my original thinking was I would get the regular T2D because that price went towards the price of the iT2D and once I got comfortable using it and thought I could make something competitive with it that I would upgrade to iT2D. And I do remember seeing the price of iT2D lowered after I bought T2D.

iT2D has always been $750 and included T2D Pro in that cost as it's a requirement for owning iT2D. If you already owned T2D Pro then you get iT2D for less the cost of T2D Pro($250) which would make iT2D $500.

I believe a small discount was put in place right before or after the news from the 11th, so $475 should be right if you own iT2D Pro already.

@David
It looks like you upgraded your T2D Pro to Studio so any discounts for you will be on the Studio license and not the Individual.

Sorry, when I click on my products it tells me I have Torque 2d Pro (Studio).
I've been a little confused with the license naming changes and such. I had a good amount of time away from torque, but then in November I started to get back into it. When I saw there was a new version of tgb (1.7.5) I downloaded it. But it was only running in demo mode. That's when i realized there were license changes. And for sone reason the option that gave me the most features was thenleast expensive, $25. Previously I had the indie pro I think, so I figured maybe there were enough changes and work that went into the new version that they wanted to charge a small fee to upgrade, and that seemed fair to me. I didn't understand why the other licenses coat more when they offered less features, but I figured the studio pro was the upgrade path I was supposed to take anyway.

I don't see any discount for either version of iT2D.

It sounds like from what you said I should be at least seeing a discount on the studio version?

Honestly I only need the individual pro, but like I said before I think it was cheapest to select what ever I chose. Sorry if I seem uninformed on what I actually purchased, but there wasnt anything to inform me about what was going on, why the new version (1.7.5) was only working in demo mode, and what these new licenses were. Maybe there was info right around the time of the changes, but I came late to the party, so to speak.

Any idea what I should do now if I'm interested in iT2D?

That is because it is allocating it as a new purchase of a license for your studio account. Contact me at support@torquepowered.com and we will try to fix the situation in the cart for you.
