Bring more press to Garage Games

The idea behind this post is to attract more gaming media attention to GG and in turn get more people visiting the site. More people visiting the site will be a good thing for everyone, because it will mean more money for finished games, more talent for games in development, and larger player communities. How I propose bringing more attention to GG is through mass emailings of the big gaming news sources, like GameSpy and PC Gamer. If a bunch of people already involved with this site all email gaming sites and magazines they will be much more likely pay attention to GG news and review GG games, which everyone in the GG community would benefit from.
So to get started here are links to the GameSpy and PC Gamer contact pages:

The real bummer IMHO is that Tribes Vengeance is going to be made using the U2-engine (AFAIK). Bummer, what a sacrilege. That project should be using Torque, damnit.
But I disgress. Let the first few FPS/RPG/Strategy projects be released to the public, and gg.com will see a surge in traffic (and, hopefully, engine licensees and game purchases)
Sending emails without having some actual news is detrimental to the cause.

Forgive me, but I believe the best way to draw attention to gg.com is to have first-class games made with torque showing up on sites like bluesnews. With several very promising projects (like Cyberfuge, Project C.A., Rise Of Power, Colonies, Illumina, etc...) being not too far away from a public release, I'm not too worried. We're also seeing one of the top mod teams making a WW2 game using torque. We're talking about free games that have the realistic potential beat expensive stuff like Planetside to tiny bits. The real bummer IMHO is that Tribes Vengeance is going to be made using the U2-engine (AFAIK). That being said; mass e-mailing them is a really stupid idea.

We have good relationships with both PC Gamer and GameSpy. We've been featued by both of them. That being said; mass e-mailing them is a really stupid idea.

We just need to produce good product.

Mass e-mailings are a really bad idea. Better to attract them through quality than spam. Mentioning stuff to the sites is important, but Jay's already on top of that.We just need to produce good product.
