I'm thinking of going cross country from Boston to IGC. I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in trip planning, and cost sharing. It's about a 2 day drive so it will require some degree of planning. If you're interested please send me an email as I would like to speak with you.

You'll need three drivers all capable of sleeping in a moving vehicle (nobody can really drive a 12 hour shift, especially at night, and you need one awake passenger, so you'll need three 8 hour shifts -- sleep/drive/talk) and living on a diet of road food for days, and a decent vehicle. You're more likely to spend the entire conference sleeping on the handiest couch or table and drinking Bromo in between (unless you are already accustomed to a steady diet of fast food or pack a cooler).
At least you aren't driving the mountain passes in winter.

Toronto->Seattle = ~39 hours. At the time, Montana's daytime posted speed limit was "Reasonable and Prudent", so we did 110 MPH across the entire state. That was the highlight of the trip. ONE driver there and TWO back in a late model Toyata pickup. I drove from Cleveland to Reno once, I think it was 4 days (we did stop every night for a couple hours, camping), and it takes like 6-8 hours to get to Bufalo from Beantown.
Hard trip to make, good luck :)
Anyway, I'm flying so, see you there :)
