Torque 3D licensing - do I get TorqueScript for $100?

Hi *,
I've been looking at getting Torque3D for educational use and wondered, if I buy say 20 licenses at $100, which does not include source, does it still have TorqueScript?
I wanted to teach students how easy it is to set up multiplayer games using the $100 license.

Awesome. So can I get an email addy from you guys to set this up please? I have a bunch of questions, and I need to know what you guys need to set up the licenses for education use etc - discounts et al.

Unfortunately that e-mail is not currently available. I'll see if I can pass this along to someone, but it might take a while to get a response to you.

Removed my comment. Not trying to be a hater I swear. I just recently delved into T3D and and have been working on some nice video tutorials for T2D, and am a little upset that my time and money may have been wasted.

It would be a shame to teach a platform at all. You should be teaching concepts and principles. Well-taught students will be able to apply what they've learned to any platform, so it won't matter to them if the one they happened to use in class isn't around much longer.

@Jeramy79 - Now is not exactly the preferred time to post recommendations for competitive engines. I'm sure Andy is aware of our news since it is plastered all over the internet and our website, not to mention the long standing debate over which game engine to use. He is a sensible adult that can make the decision for himself, so please do not make posts like that right now.

Yeah it would be good to delete this post and jeramy79 and Sherman with their permission as I was trying to avoid talking about that news. Onward and upward. Torque's out-of-the-box multiplayer is great for teaching students the underpinning skills involved with making multiplayer games, without needing to fuss around with setting up the architecture. Torque wont just vanish - the code is still here.

@Andy - This thread and your replies are fine. We'll get rid of the off-topic content and just focus on your request.

[Apologies for veering even further off-topic... just something I've always wanted to say when the censors come out!]

Can I step in and ask respectfully that 'off-topic' matter is not removed until it really does risk devolving into mudslinging? I feel like in general, and especially in times like these, the mod-hammer creates more problems than it solves. If, on the other hand, we see people raising issues, and see employees responding calmly and maturely (as you have), I think that speaks far better for Torque, you guys at the Garage, and this community.[Apologies for veering even further off-topic... just something I've always wanted to say when the censors come out!]

Thus far I have found it easy to use, easy to prototype, and easy to modify. Unless there are bugs, I can see T3D as being a viable teaching application even if support dries up.

I just bought a copy of T3D yesterday and I am not disapointed. I know that T3D support may utterly dry up, but I hope it doesn't.Thus far I have found it easy to use, easy to prototype, and easy to modify. Hi, again. I have emailed the education education@torquepowered.com address about a quote review since the price change, and still haven't heard back. Is this correct address?

The torquepowered.com addresses should still work, but they went down for a bit after the site relaunch. You might want to resend it using education@garagegames.com to make sure it goes through.

Also, keep in mind that our licensing guy is getting slammed with emails right now so it may take a bit for him to respond.

Okay thanks for the update. I'll resend to education@garagegames.com and wait :) Meanwhile, I'm gonna buy me a copy of Torque3d! Yeah!
