I was just wondering how u guys that have been playing longer then me know what certain places in maps are called or do u just make them up

The only "named" piece of geography is "bots falls island"... This piece of turf earned its name because players would grab the scrum.. jump to the little island and watch the bots fall over the cliff like lemings trying to get to the scrum...
it is and will always be... Bots falls island.

Not sure if this will help, but Bot Falls Island is West of Hum Hill and 'that dang tree'. South-west of the Bucking Bronco.-Z-

Okay, that's all nice and dandy, but how are you folks marking North so we know what east and west are? :) And how did you all name it Hum Hill? Should I get into Frantic mode and name some things myself? :)

Hard to say... on the Cranium Craters map(where this naming is being done).. the end with the spike (or Bucking Bronco) is North, you can figure out the rest from there.

When you attempt the launch sequence from the "Sniper Hill"(whatever that South hill is called). The launch arrow shoots you to the arrow at the South West base of Hum Hill which in turns either sends you flying to Bots falls island or... right into that dang tree going about 100 mph. Doh! Tree again! : oMAX

Hum's a punk. Going around and claiming that hill is named after him. Me and Pog won that hill fair and square. Then that back stabbing Pog shot me. Well then I sniped Benedict Pog right up the tail pipe. That's when Hum took over an unguarded hill. Now he's running around calling it "Hum Hill." What a punk.
And don't get me started on Mal's drinking. Glug, glug, drive off the edge. Sheeesh, call Betty Ford already.

If you want to know which direction is North, sit atop "Hum Hill" and face the reload station. That's North. Hum's a punk. Going around and claiming that hill is named after him.
