Thanks Justin, I'll see if I can get some codes for this forum, although technically I will have no control of the game etc once handed over to Appular.

Sounds great. Are you handing the iPhone version of IWT to Appular also?

Yep, all versions (4) will go to Appular. We get to keep the copyright and source code and they control distribution, marketing, price etc etc

The new games look really nice. I can see that you've added a lot of new things to IWT. I'm looking forward to downloading the game. Also, I'll be very interested to hear how well the game does with Appular doing the marketing and distribution.

There's quite a bit more we've added to IWT that doesn't show from the screen shots - hopefully to be revealed soon. Appular are looking to start the campaign very shortly so I'll let you know once things start moving.

How would you describe your experiences so far with Appular? i.e. would you recommend them? I've been kinda hanging on to see how it goes with you, but I'm running out of time and I think I'll need to make a move very soon regarding who to work with. I think this is definitely the way to go though, having the marketing done by professionals in that field who know what they are doing, so I am really routing for you and I hope this will result in a massive boost in sales. Good luck man!

So far Appular have been very professional and have a methodical approach to the evolution and marketing side of the games. Had we not been with Appular we would have launched probably 4-6 weeks ago. However, they have suggested good improvements to the games - particularly around difficulty and (repeat) playability. It remains to be seen how the *actual* marketing campaign goes in terms of success but I have high hopes.
I would recommend that if you are certain to go with them then at least set the ball rolling - you are probably looking at another 4-6 weeks whilst they review / test / feedback on your game.

It seems the PR is being picked up by quite a few feeds now and is starting to do the Twitter rounds.
I'll keep you posted.

I am asking this because we are starting a new project and we are trying to understand if we have to make different sizes image for each of the version (ipad, iphone, iphone4) or avoid it by scaling them in the engine.

Hi Scott, you said you have a version for iphone. Will it be published as different app in store? If yes, your arts are in different resolution or you have the same arts but scaled in game?I am asking this because we are starting a new project and we are trying to understand if we have to make different sizes image for each of the version (ipad, iphone, iphone4) or avoid it by scaling them in the engine.

The iPad version alone is about 80Mb and I don't want to make it universal as it would be over 110 Mb, the iPad does have some unique features so hopefully Apple will let it through.

Selvin, it will be different versions; iPhone (480x320) and iPad native, we aren't doing iPhone4 retina just yet.The iPad version alone is about 80Mb and I don't want to make it universal as it would be over 110 Mb, the iPad does have some unique features so hopefully Apple will let it through.

Thanks Scott. For Retina Display I am still not sure how to proceed. It will be good to have arts just in 960 and somehow scale to 480 for non-retina devices. Will look further into this.
