Hi. Just shelled out my $20 for the Linux(!) version of ThinkTanks. It's very cool. I'd like to know if there's any way to run the server without bots. The only documentation I've found so far is the Readme.html, and that doesn't mention anything about bots.. Any tips?

Thanks.

Go to the create game menu, and press the buttons so they all cycle to the 'blank' spot. Either launch the game from there or quit and create a dedicated server.

You can also open up pref.cs and look at play around with the settings in there.

:) Thanks. Just found that. So changing it in there and quitting will set the server when I run it from the command line? Nice. Thanks.

Will my server appear on the public list for other clients then?

Oh, and just to maximize the annoyance factor, one more question... I assume whether or not demo players are allowed depends on the map I choose?

Yes, you should be visible to the rest of the world (provided you are not behind a firewall)

You can always go to gnometech.com/ and open up the master server monitor to see if you are in the list.

And yes, you can limit it so no demos can join by choosing a team game or a non- 'lush' map.

OR

you can password protect it. I have done this... gone into a server and 'invited' some people by giving them the password to my server.
