Torque X VS2010 compatibility

by Quentin Headen · in General Discussion · 09/21/2010 (2:08 pm) · 5 replies

Hello everyone! I just looked at XNA's website and they have on the front page that XNA 4.0 has come out. Does Torque X currently support 4.0? If not, when will that support be coming? That question also includes Visual Studio 2010 compatibility because that is the only IDE that XNA 4.0 is compatible with.

What are the plans InstantAction? (It is hard to stop saying GarageGames instead of InstantAction. :P)

I hate to bump this post, but this is a very important issue. From looking around the forums, it seems that TX 3.1.5 isn't going to be updated for XNA 4.0 support. I paid $200 for this engine. Did I invest into an end of the line product? What's the word on XNA 4.0 support?

Microsoft announced that later this fall, there will be put in place a 90 day window to sell any 3.1 games. After that, only 4.0 games will be sold. If Torque X isn't updated by then, buyers of if are going to be really messed up! What is the deal IA!?!?!?

Hey Quentin,

just seen this thread browsing for your posts before answering your email :) There are no useful official statements about this, so our CEV is the sole current solution to the problem.
