Hey, the picture didn't show up the first time. That's why I asked what it was. Now I see it, so never mind. That is way cool. I was just pulling my hair out trying to export with Max but to no avail. Any hints? I keep getting an error that says "No data to export". No idea why?-mark

Could be a number of reasons, but I doubt I'm keen to them. Tenabrae (our team's modeler) did the truck. I'll see what I can find out from him.

Is it a functioning vehicle?

Tell him to write a tutorial already.

definately good for the community.. have him (Tenabrae) post something for the rest of us to learn from (the basics to get past the frustrations). Very cool, and as someone before me asked - Is it a functional vehicle?

I will write a DTS tutorial (I was big into tribes1 editing) soon. To be truthful though, this exporter does wierd things to the best of us sometimes :)

Heh sorry, nope. Should have stated that. :)
I'll ask Ten if he has time to do a tut on the .dts exporter.

It creates a flying shrike with no weapons, but it could easily be modified... :)

I just made a tutorial on crating vehicles (yesterday) and submitted it to a site. www.gamez.com/v12 or something like that. That link doesnt work, bu tit was something like that. Search the forums for 'tutorial' and I think you will find it.It creates a flying shrike with no weapons, but it could easily be modified... :)

The tut says you need a copy of Tribes 2, it seems this should be V12 ?

No one has any models other then what they can pull from T2. So that's what they suggest you use.

Yep, it looks like it needs some scripts from T2 as as well.
#17
It is also a good place to look for reference on how the scripting works until more origional sample code is released.

Just using the scripts from T2 makes for faster testing of if the vehicle code works or not.It is also a good place to look for reference on how the scripting works until more origional sample code is released.

I just spoke with Tenabrae on doing a tut, he said he'd try and give it a go. Anything in particular that you'd like covered in it? Besides the obvious.
