3ds max 4 DTS exporter error?

I am using the 3ds max version 4 dts export but when i try to export all it say is:

no bounding box found

when i put Display as box on it shows up with a box but the shape diappears. does anyone know why?

I just put show as box and when i try to export it comes up witht same error so i ma total confused. Any help what but great.

You need to create a box, name it "bounds" without the quotation marks. That's all the exporter is looking for.

You also should make it an editable mesh and then link it to bip01 if you are exporting a player or embed shape from the dts tool if it is not a player.

I still seem to have some problems. I made 1 sphere and a box named bounds with tthe sphere. Then I make the box properties = see as box and try to export to dts but now I get another error which says no data found. Could it be the i am using the version 4 exporter with 3ds max version 5 and if that is so then is there a version for the dts exporter? Thank you for your help.

The error means that you do not have your scene hierarchy setup correctly. As such, it seems more like a user error than a problem with the exporter plugin. Since you are having troubles with the very basics, I would guess that you have not clearly read and undestand the DTS Exporter Documentation and as such I would recommend that you go back to it and read the first section in particular.
